An External Graphics Solution By NVIDIA

An alternative from ASUS that mysteriously disappeared after CES: the XG Station

I, for one, am a hard-core PC gamer. However, I lack the funds to buy an expensive laptop that will allow me to take my gaming obsession on the road. Soon, however, this dilemma may not be an issue.

NVIDIA revealed that they’re considering making an external graphics card, when prompted in an interview regarding the openness of the market for triple-A external video cards.

One thing that worries me is price; if this bad boy’s as expensive as some of the other “solutions” out there, NVIDIA might just be adding to the problem.

NVIDIA wouldn’t be the first company to work on an external graphics card; there’s a bunch of them out there in the wild already, although none of them have been specifically built for gaming. If this product ever becomes a reality, I could see gaming on notebooks soar because who really wants to to rely on the insufficient Intel integrated graphics?
