Windows Phone 7 Series Times 3: Three Versions Of Phone 7
Windows Phone 7 Series is now said to have three different chassis.
The first one is the pocky box that seems to be going for the ultra-simple user interface that everybody saw at launch day, and is being toted around as a better iPhone. It supports a massive capacitive multi-touchscreen. Its packing a minimum of a 1.0 Ghz Snapdragon and a dedicated GPU.
The second form is said to be a more efficient and ergonomic model that incorporates a QWERTY sliding keyboard with a touch screen and is supposed to be “like a Palm Treo” according to ZDNet.
The ever mysterious version three has been well hidden, but rumors are starting to circulate on the phone possibly being a candy bar phone. A candy bar phone is a phone that has grown less popular in the advent of sliding keyboards, but was very popular a year or two ago. As the name says, it looks a lot like a candy bar, thin, sleek, and rectangular. The perfect model for the professional-casual look Microsoft is trying to portray to compete with Apple’s cool aura.
