Matt Gibstein Writes Livescribe Echo Smartpen Review for the NY Times
Hi loyal readers,
Before I introduce my latest review, I’d like to apologize for the lack of posts this month. We do have a ton of great tech waiting in our review queue, so be sure to hang tight… I sware, the reviews are comin’! With that being said, the review below is a particularly special one.
As many of you know, I had the chance to work with David Pogue, New York Times Technology Columnist and CNBC Correspondent, this summer. It was an absolutely brilliant experience; I was able to learn *so* much from one of the industry’s most respected pundits.
For those of you who are Pogue-fanatics (like myself), you’ll know that David has two main writing gigs with the Times. One is the State of the Art column which airs weekly– his writings for this segment, which are generally reviews of popular products (like the HTC EVO 4G), appear in both the print and online edition of the Times. David also writes a video script to accompany each one of his written reviews. David also has “Pogue’s Posts“, which is his blog. Generally, the posts are a little more informal due to the nature of the blogging platform.
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to extensively test the Livescribe Echo Smartpen. As a student, I was intrigued by the concept. I gathered my thoughts and wrote a review, a departure from the normal TechTrackr format.
Thanks to David, the review made it on to his blog (post is here). At the moment, it’s the second most emailed technology story and it has already amassed over seventy-five comments! I can’t even begin to tell you all what an honor it is to be published in the Times. Hopefully, it’s just one article of many to come in the future.
Again, if you head to this link, courtesy the New York Times, you’ll be able to hear my take. I hope you enjoy.
It has been, and will always be my goal to bring you cutting-edge technology reviews. The TechTrackr Team and I will strive to do so.
All the best,
Intern for David Pogue
